How to install

Click the green Download button. You get a tiny 2 MB RookeryIsles_Installer.exe.

Double-click the .exe. If Windows pops up "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway. (Standard for new installers without a paid code-signing cert.)

The installer downloads the ~13 GB of game data with a progress bar. Takes 15-60 minutes depending on your connection. Pausing or losing connection is fine - it resumes where you left off.

Setup wizard then walks you through install location, shortcuts, and the hosts entry for play.rookery.pro. Keep defaults if unsure.

Launch from the desktop shortcut, log in — make an account here first if you don't have one.

~35 GB free on the drive you're installing to
Decent internet (HTTPS download supports pause/resume)

Game crashing or won't launch?

If you installed Rookery Isles before this section appeared, your install may be missing one or more Microsoft runtime libraries (DirectX 9, Visual C++ redistributables). Download the Prereq Pack below and run it once. It detects what's missing and installs only what you need.
